St. Andrew's Lutheran Preschool offers a morning enrichment program for children two years nine months to five years old. We provide a warm, nurturing, Christian environment for children to explore their world with safe and caring staff members. All of our teachers have education in Early Childhood Development. Our child-to-teacher ratio is 8:1 compared to other centers who offer 12:1. Our Monday, Wednesday, Friday program is for children four and five years of age. Our Tuesday, Thursday class is for children two years nine months of age to three years nine months. Our hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. There is an optional Lunch Bunch program where children can stay longer for lunch and activities. Play Group (Fridays)

Free childcare is available whenever events are held at St. Andrews. This includes Sunday worship and Sunday school, Wednesday Intergenerational Night, midweek worship services, evening Bible studies and meetings, and other events as needed. If you are not certain if childcare is offered at a particular event or meeting, please call the church office at (619) 464-4211. Our preschool area is used for childcare. We can accommodate children from infancy through elementary age. We encourage those age 3 and older to attend Sunday School, although it is not mandatory.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Every year in late July or August St. Andrew's is transformed into a hub of Bible stories, games, songs, friendship, and lots of fun! Children from age 3 through those just finishing 5th grade are invited to join the experience. Cost is $15 per child, with a family maximum of $30. A T-shirt is included in the cost. VBS starts at 9:00 AM and ends at noon. Pre-registration takes place before and after the 9:30 AM service on the Sundays before VBS begins. You can also call or stop by the church office on weekdays.

Our annual Vacation Bible School typically enrolls about 150 children. We need many adults, many cookies, and lots of lemonade to accommodate all those brave believers! If you are asked to assist, we hope you will say an enthusiastic yes! If you aren't asked directly, we hope you will volunteer. And EVERYONE can donate cookies and lemonade!

Joyful Noise - our children's choir

Children's choir is for children in grades 1 through 5. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 6:30. The choir sings twice a month at the worship services: one week at the 8:00 AM and 9:45 AM services and one week at the 10:45 AM service.
